I made another noren, this time for the toilet. Used second hand cotton pillow slips and sheets in grey and

off white. The colours are rather calm and echo those in the stainless steel sink and the bird poster. A good

addition I think.

Black Swans at Corner Inlet.

A White Browed Fantail sharing a bath with a Thornbill.

Now that everyones gone, the White Browed Scrubwren enters the arena.

After the Thornbill and Scrubwren leave, the patient Eastern Spinebill has its turn, only to be interrupted by the fantail.

Move over everyone - the White Eared Honey Eater is here to make a splash.

Just a few of the visitors during our holiday.

Painting today beneath our new acquisition - a beautiful stained glass purchased on our holiday.

Pictures from our stay at Corner Inlet. Native plant life grows in close proximity to the little house hidden away in remote bush land. The nearest town is 23km away and the only nearby inhabitants were at a farm  2km away. The isolation takes a day or two to get used - then the house becomes a cosy little oasis  after a long day walking in the wilds. Outside, all is quiet except for the twittering of thorn bills and blue wrens and the scent of sea water fills the air.

The rear of the property features an old timber chicken run whose planks maybe hiding away a snake for all I know. Snakes are frequently seen along the 500 metre driveway and occasionally the gardens as well, so I always keep an eye out when wandering.

Beautiful and shy - a Copperhead Snake on the driveway.

Views through every window are filled with green.

I slept alongside Camille in the back room and eventually became comfortable with the single bed.

Good bye Corner Inlet. Until next time.
