Sugar free, low fat, Date and Walnut Loaf

 




Date and Walnut Loaf

The Receipt

35-40 dates, chopped
2  1/2 cups vegan milk
2 cups whole-wheat/combination flour
1 avocado, mashed
1 small banana, mashed
1-2 tablespoons of oil (if desired)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons/small handful chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves 

Preheat oven 170C.

Heat the milk until hot and add the dates. Cover and lit sit while preparing the cake.

Toast the walnuts.

Mix dry ingredients and wet separately, before combining. Grease a loaf tin and fill with the batter. Top with extra walnuts. 

Bake for one hour.
