Been viewing the latest exhibition at the NGV, and hobnobbing around Brunswick Street, and Gertrude Street Fitzroy of late. 'Tis the best vegan friendly area in Melbourne. The Vegie Bar is a fave. I love to sit outside in the peaceful courtyard on a blue sky day, while enjoying a large plate of nachos and listening to the birds flitting around in their nests above the eaves.
We found, per chance, while waiting for a tram down Brunswick Street, a gem of a french shop, stocking antiques, textiles, but mainly Tintin paraphernalia. Must be the only one of it's kind in Melbourne , if not Australia.  Just the ticket for a little Xmas shopping.

The pictures speak for themselves...... Though we haven't erected the tree yet, I've been making and  adding a few festive touches here and there to the house. This morning I gathered some leaf fall and made a wreath of eucalyptus and grevillea foliage. Looks so much more interesting than the traditional pine and spruce typical of xmas wreaths.

The abundance of plums on our trees calls for episodes of baking and preserving; some of which will be given as gifts this year.
