Trip into Fitzroy yesterday for some vegan eats, a cappucino, a dawdle around the streets and our usual haunts in Collingwood and Northcote. .... We love searching for finds in the local thrift shops and my heart beat quickens when I come across a gem.  Came home with a rare find - The Otterbury Incident by C Day Lewis /  illustrated by Ardizzone, then headed off to Northcote by tram and came across a small shop specialising in all things 'green'. Purchased  a recycled cotton dishcloth and the trusty redecker replacement brush head. Snap up the latter when I see them as I cannot purchase them out in the eastern burbs.

Today, a pleasantly warm day. A new energy arises this time of the year and we're enjoying all the new flowers blooming. The star attraction is the abraham darby rose which smells as beautiful as it looks.

The household - running low in soap -  I got to work on a fresh batch this morning. Ingredients to the basic recipe were fresh aloe gel from the garden, turmeric powder for colour, and for scent - ylang ylang, spearmint and lavender essential oils.

Managed to allocate some time with the family to visit the mornington peninsula nat park two weeks ago. Fantastic to be at one with nature and the elements again. Alone with the majesty that is mother nature, and that is the reality. Mankind, to it's detriment,  has locked itself up in an unreal bubble.
I've a couple of instagram accounts dedicated to my art practice....
