Soon too, the wattle trees will be bursting with winter colour.

The Californian Redwood forest, Victoria.
Row upon orderly row of trees that don't belong in a native setting, and to my mind just look weird and alien in the victorian rainforest. The first eerie thing I noticed was the lack of life that you normally associate with an understory rich in activity in the surrounding rainforests and no birds were to be seen.
( THe plantations apparently were used for experimental purposes as part of a hydrogrogy research program dated back to the 1930"s )
Back home today.
Recent project has seen me repair a large cardboard and papier mache frame i had made some 20 years ago. I also created a collage on cardboard to complete.
