Wonderful spate of fine and KIND weather here in Melbourne.

Today I made myself a new summer nightie as I could only go so far with the patches on my retired piece. I will however put the reasonable parts of the fabric to good use and sew up some more hankies.
Recently, while writing on our blackboard in the entry way, I had a light bulb idea. Why not try a chalkboard on the kitchen door and thus make more room in the entry way while also having less clutter to deal with when we finally have to move out of Ringwood.
Works a treat.

1 January 2019

new years day......
Felt inspired to give my lounge and dining room curtains a makeover, with some new neat tabs. Makes quite a difference.
A relaxed summers day in the suburbs.
I suppose many have gone off on holiday, which is good for our streets and our local air quality, and they are quieter as a result.
Woke up this morning to birdsong. A myriad of calls and sounds from  butcherbirds, magpies, doves,  lorikeets and the odd corella. Feel blessed to have such a large backyard that the birds love to visit - when the resident magpies allow them!
