Fleeting midday light kissing the jonquils and borage flowers in the living room .

Evaporating on the diffuser the refreshing notes of  peppermint , tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils.

Its been very cold , and when it falls to 0 that means water turns to ice.
This morning at 8 am before the household was up, I braved the elements  and ventured outside barefoot to find everything shrouded in cold frosty powder. The crisp ice covered grass crunching beneath my feet, I took a quick photo and dashed back inside. Straight to the kettle to make a hot tea!

house inspection this morning

While I was under the tree watching the customers inspect the little homes, a curious raven came to visit, wondering what the attraction was.

The Bee Chateau!

Never thought I would make one of these, but after watching an episode of Gardening Australia recently, of a productive vege plot in a small suburban garden, I felt inspired. Once started , I realized this project was going to take longer than expected, as I had to source all the materials by searching in the garden for what was available. The process however was highly enjoyable and I was glad of the outcome. In the few days of it's establishment, the ants have a curiosity for the structure, and I have watched a little shy insect peeping in and out of one of the holes. Now I am awaiting in anticipation for some native bees to take up residence in the coming months.

Slow mornings, so got creative in the kitchen a few days ago for breakfast much to the fams delight!
