Rain softly falls.

On a wet fence

black feathers glisten.

With window open, I hear

soft drops of rain.

A petal floats to the ground.

Haiku poetry on this wet Sunday.

 A bit of today.
Handmade purses and bags in linen remnants, and a unique new marketplace find to house all my art materials in.

The ravens have made nests high in the neighbouring gum trees, and are becoming very protective of their young. To prevent more swooping, we decided to lay out a tasty spread for them in the hope they will come to see us as friends not foes.

Update: we've not been swooped since; not so other pedestrians. Ravens are known to be smart birds - perhaps they favour anyone who feeds them.

a beautiful night to take washing off the line.
