15 August 2023

The day started at -0.1C,

which is somewhat reassuring, although it maybe a false sense of reassurance.
Not looking forward to summer.
This winter has been warmer than average and I've missed those cold days of yore.

Enter the laundry.
A small space compared to our last laundry at City Road. Thus, improvisation was called for, and this is where the peg rail has been invaluable. Previously, laundry baskets that took up valuable floor space are now hung, as are all the tools required in our daily cleaning duties. The ample storage cupboards that we no longer have, are replaced with a shelf that we added to the top of peg rail which also serves as an artistic way to display eye catching package design. The Lifebuoy Soap carton I recreated from a 1940s version.

Bags are also useful for storing odds and ends in an attractive way.

The faithful old denim apron, must be 10 years or so, since I first made this.
Will be patched as necessary.

Le Chalet de Chat Toilette designed specifically for the needs
of the discreet cat and the hygiene conscious cat slave, errr, I mean, owner.

And look at this! The mist has cleared to reveal a fine sunny day. Must go out and enjoy it.
