 Reflections on the small pond I made for the birds .

Remarkable discovery. I had plonked a 30 cm by 7 cm offcut from the gum tree prunings earlier this year  ( arising from the council maintenance rampage. I wish they wouldn't.) into the ground along the fence line. There was one small leafed branch still attached, which I left alone. I buried half of the branch along its length, leaving the other side exposed and behold, there are sprouts appearing! Who would have thought?!!!!
